Alien Paintball

FAQ's

· What is the difference between the Alien Independence and other High End markers?
Independence has the best of a Spool Valve - a quieter more accurate shot - and the reliability and ease of service of a Poppet.
Because the Alien Independence was designed useing much higher flowing connectors, hoses and solenoids, it operates in the low 50 ps range. This makes Independence quieter and smoother shooting. You get this smooth shot without the high maintance, weather worries and difficult cleaning of a Spool valve marker. Add the low LPR pressure with Alien's SofTouch bolt face and you have a gun that is wonderfully easy on the most brittle paint, even in the severest weather conditions.

You will also appreciate Alien’s two patented features: First is the Independent Ram, the basis of our modular design. The Independent Ram makes the Independence easier to service and tech by allowing the Ram to be separated from the gun body. High flow hose and quick release fittings connect the two pieces. Similarly the trigger grip frame can slide away from the ram and the gun body. While in three separate pieces, connected only by the low pressure air hose and the solenoid wires, your Independence can be aired up and powered on to operate the ram and inspect the makers individual parts. This certainty in inspection and repair is not possible with any other marker.
Second: The High Effectiveness Bolt and Valve (Sweep System). The “air behind the ball” of the Spool guns has gained acceptance for providing a superior shot vs. the “up and over” air of traditional Poppet Valve guns. Best is the Sweep System that directs calmer air, provided by our low resistance cup valve, under and around the ball. In baseball terms, your Independence throws fastballs while the others throw knuckleballs. Like a fastball, the sweep shot has a backspin. This backspin has a gyroscopic effect resulting in a flatter, narrower and longer shot. Watch our test video to see the how the Sweep System immediately improves your game by allowing you to hit what you are shooting at more often.

Holding the Independence you can see the thicker walls, feel it’s excellent balance and sense the build strength. Surprising build strength as it is among the lightest of high-end guns. For the best combination of weight, balance, reliability, speed, accuracy, low maintance, ease of service and best transitioning of paint for lowest paintball breakage, one gun stands alone, the Independence from Alien.

·  Electro-pneumatic, FASOR or electric sear trippers? Poppet valve or spool valve?
Alien Independence is fully electro-pneumatic (no spring returns) and uses our high flow, low resistance, poppet valve.

· How fast does it shoot?
Pro Players cannot outshoot the Independence.

· How much does it weigh?
Right at two pounds, with a barrel, regulator and bottle adapter.

· What barrel threads?
Cocker

· Do they have different firing modes?
Aliens have the full range of tournament presents.
See the Electronics page

· How does the trigger adjust?
Independence triggers are 4 ways adjustable: Trigger firing point, travel before firing, and travel after firing, plus trigger tension. All adjustments are done without disassembly for a "real feel" setup.

· What is the LPR operating pressure?
 Low 50 psi range

·  How air efficient is it?
1,700 to 2,000 shots is the reasonable range to expect. Efficiency factors to be considered are: how fast you are shooting, the field limit (265 to 300 fps) and a full fill or a fast, hot fill.

·  How much kick does it have?
Independence is a very calm shooting gun. Similair to most Spool guns and less than most high end poppets

·  How hard are they to service, trouble shoot or tech?
The Independence needs very little service and can be shoot for a whole season cleaning only the bolt and the outside of the gun. Should it need servicing we feel they are the easiest to both trouble shoot and repair. The three main pieces (Body, Ram Assembly and Trigger Frame) can be laid out in front of you. You can air it up, power it on and then operate the ram to see that everything is operating correctly. See the ‘Tech video.’
